What is particular about 32DD

The last letter UK and US share

Up to DD, a UK and a US size are the same label. One cup up they split: the UK calls it 32E, the US calls it 32DDD. Some US brands print E for DD, so a US "32E" on those labels is this same 32DD. Check which ladder a brand uses before sizing up.

What the +4 method does to this body

A 32 in underbust and a 37 in bust measure 32DD. The +4 method pads the band to 36 and takes the cup from 37 − 36 = 1 in: a 36A. That is two band sizes and four cup letters away on the label, and two cup volumes smaller, the direction White and Scurr (2012) measured.

Which sister to try

If a 32DD band rides up, the tighter sister is 30E (US 30DDD). If it digs in, 34D. 36C is two steps away, and its wires sit wider.
